Default Is Gamecam considered a third party?

Hey guys, Im not sure, but I was using gamecam one day while playing GW, my bro told me, it might be a third party program, so I thought, ok I dont want to get banned.
Gamecam works with any game, its basically windows moviemaker, you press a button and it records, thats all it does, I was wondering if that is considered a third party program. Any answers, as long as there clear, will help.

as long as it doesn't install little executables that go on GW and Farm gold for you...

How do you think everyone makes farming vids here?

It's perfectly safe(I believe A.Net has stated it somewhere). I use FRAPS. Never been banned yet.

Gamecam or Fraps are of course third party programs because they are not made by Anet, but they do not interfere with the game in any way, they just record whatever is on your screen. They are perfectly fine.

Banning you for using Gamecam would be like banning you for using winamp or window media player while playing the game.

Third-party programs to avoid are those that control your character without constant personal input from the player.

Non-bot players get banned because they use the same target pattern as a bot program while in-town.

If you are still concerned send an email to Anet for clarification.

anything that doesn't mess with the guildwars data stream or control input within the client is perfectly legal though do be careful of viruses and worms and keyloggers as per usual in anything you download...
